2973 - 2023
Les Amazighs de tous les pays de Tamazgha et de la diaspora ont adopté solennellement leur drapeau, le 18/08/2947 correspondant au 30/08/1997, lors de la première assemblée générale du Congrès Mondial Amazigh (CMA), qui s’est déroulée à Tafira dans l’ile de Gran Canaria, dans l’Archipel Canarien.
L’emblème unificateur des Amazighs est aujourd’hui porté fièrement par tous les Amazighs. Il symbolise l’identité amazighe et la terre de Tamazgha et il exprime l’aspiration profonde des Amazighs à vivre libres.
A l’occasion du 26ème anniversaire de notre cher emblème (18/08/2973 – 30/08/2023), nous lui souhaitons une vie éternelle et la paix et la prospérité pour tous les Amazighs ainsi qu’à tous les autres peuples.
Le Congrès Mondial Amazigh dénonce avec force tous ceux – individus et autorités gouvernementales - qui tentent de porter atteinte au drapeau Amazigh ou de l’interdire comme c’est le cas en Algérie.
Le CMA demande instamment à tous les Amazighs, individus, associations, institutions publiques et privées, d’exprimer, chacun à sa manière, leur respect et leur attachement à leur emblème. Plus que jamais le drapeau Amazigh doit être porté en toutes circonstances.
Sur les toits de nos maisons, à nos fenêtres, sur nos balcons, sur les places publiques, glorifions notre emblème, hissons haut le drapeau Amazigh.
Vive le drapeau Amazigh !
Vive Tamazgha libre !

Amazigh Flag Day 2973 – 2023
The Amazighs of all the countries of Tamazgha and the diaspora solemnly adopted their flag on 18/08/2947 corresponding to 30/08/1997, at the first General Assembly of the Amazigh World Congress, held in Tafira on the island of Gran Canaria in the Canary Archipelago.
The Amazigh unifying emblem is now proudly worn by all Amazighs. It symbolises Amazigh identity and the land of Tamazgha, and expresses the Amazigh people's profound aspiration to live in freedom.
On the occasion of the 26th anniversary of our beloved emblem (18/08/2973 - 30/08/2023), we wish it eternal life and peace and prosperity for all Amazighs and all other peoples.
The Amazigh World Congress strongly denounces all those - individuals and government authorities - who attempt to undermine the Amazigh flag or ban it, as is the case in Algeria.
We strongly urge all Amazighs, individuals, associations, public and private institutions, to express, each in their own way, their respect for and attachment to their emblem. More than ever, the Amazigh flag must be worn in all circumstances.
On the roofs of our houses, in our windows, on our balconies, in public places, let us glorify our emblem, let us hoist high the Amazigh flag.
Long live the Amazigh flag!
Long live a free Tamazgha!
