Le Congrès Mondial Amazigh participera à la XIV° session du Mécanisme d'Experts

des Nations Unies sur les Droits des Peuples Autochtones

12-16 juillet 2021 (session virtuelle)

 

 

Le Congrès Mondial Amazigh (CMA), organisation internationale de protection et de promotion des droits individuels et collectifs des Amazighs, participera à la 14ème session du Mécanisme d’experts de l’ONU sur les droits des peuples autochtones (Medpa), qui se déroulera de manière virtuelle du 12 au 16 juillet 2021.

 

Le CMA interviendra notamment lundi 12 juillet après midi sur les deux thèmes principaux inscrits à l’ordre du jour de cette session : les droits de l’enfant autochtone et le droit à l’autodétermination des peuples autochtones.

 

Sur le thème des droits de l’enfant autochtone, c’est un enfant Kel-Tamasheq (Touareg) de la région du Fezzan, dans le sud de la Libye qui aura l’honneur de porter la parole des enfants Amazighs. Le thème du droit à l’autodétermination sera présenté par Nasser Abuzakhar, membre du Conseil Fédéral du CMA, qui soulignera l’importance de ce droit pour les Amazighs.

 

Il est également important de signaler que pour la première fois, c’est une cérémonie amazighe qui assurera l’ouverture de cette session du Mécanisme d’experts. Elle mettra à l’honneur trois femmes de trois régions différentes de Tamazgha, l’Azawad, l’Atlas au Maroc et la Kabylie.

The Amazigh World Congress will participate in the XIVth session of the United Nations Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples

The Amazigh World Congress, an international organisation for the protection and promotion of the individual and collective rights of the Amazigh people, will participate in the 14th session of the UN Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (Emrip).

 

The Amazigh World Congress will intervene on Monday 12 July afternoon on the two main themes on the agenda of this session: the rights of the indigenous child and the right to self-determination of indigenous peoples.

 

On the theme of the rights of the indigenous child, a Kel-Tamasheq (Tuareg) child from the Fezzan region in southern Libya will have the honour of speaking on behalf of Amazigh children. The theme of the right to self-determination will be presented by Nasser Abuzakhar, member of the CMA Federal Council, who will underline the importance of this right for the Amazighs.

 

It is also important to note that for the first time, an Amazigh ceremony will open this session of the Expert Mechanism. It will honour three women from three different regions of Tamazgha, Azawad, Atlas in Morocco and Kabylia.
