Dans le cadre de sa mission de promouvoir la mise en œuvre de la Déclaration des Nations Unies sur les droits des peuples autochtones, le Mécanisme d’experts des Nations Unies sur les droits des peuples autochtones prépare une étude sur les droits des enfants autochtones et un rapport sur le droit à l’autodétermination des peuples autochtones. Ces deux documents seront débattus au cours de la prochaine session du Mécanisme d’experts qui se tiendra du 12 au 16 juillet 2021 et après finalisation, ils seront présentés au Conseil des droits de l’homme de l’ONU, en septembre 2021.

 

Le Congrès Mondial Amazigh (CMA), ONG de protection et de promotion des droits des Amazighs, souhaite contribuer à l’étude et au rapport du Mécanisme d'Experts. Dans ce but, le CMA appelle les Amazighs, qu’ils/elles soient des structures de recherche et d’enseignement supérieur, des associations ou des personnes intéressées, à lui fournir des contributions en français, anglais ou espagnol, au format Word, au plus tard le 20 février 2021. Ces contributions seront synthétisées par le CMA et adressées au Mécanisme d’experts.

Droit à l’autodétermination des Amazighs

 

Principaux thèmes (mais sans s’y limiter) :

 

- Les ordres juridiques, les traditions et les protocoles amazighs dans les fonctions d'autonomie gouvernementale

 

- L’histoire, les modes de gouvernance autonomes, les institutions, la langue, les cérémonies et la spiritualité des Amazighs comme formes d'autodétermination

 

- Exemples de l'exercice actuel de la juridiction par les Amazighs, y compris l'autodétermination de jure et de facto ainsi que les décisions concernant les terres, les territoires et les ressources, les droits économiques, sociaux et culturels, et les droits civils et politiques

 

- Les bonnes pratiques d'autodétermination (tels que les Accords et Traités entre les peuples Amazighs et les Etats), le soutien à l'autodétermination (telle que la reconnaissance constitutionnelle) et les défis à la réalisation de l'autodétermination

 

- La détermination de la citoyenneté amazighe, et les droits et responsabilités de la citoyenneté amazighe

 

- La reconstitution des peuples et nations amazighs divisés par des politiques ou des frontières imposées par les États et la manière dont l'autodétermination peut être gérée ou entravée

Call for contributions for the UN Expert Mechanism

on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples

 

Rights of indigenous children

 

Right to self-determination of indigenous peoples

 

As part of its mission to promote the implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, the United Nations Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples is preparing a study on the rights of indigenous children and a report on the right to self-determination of indigenous peoples. These two documents will be discussed during the next session of the Expert Mechanism from 12 to 16 July 2021 and after finalisation, they will be presented to the UN Human Rights Council in September 2021.

 

The Amazigh World Congress (CMA), an NGO for the protection and promotion of the rights of the Amazigh people, wishes to contribute to the study and report of the Expert Mechanism. To this end, the CMA calls on Amazighs, whether they are researchers and higher education institutions, associations or interested individuals, to provide contributions in English, French or Spanish, in Word format, no later than 20 February 2021. These contributions will be synthesized by the CMA and sent to the Expert Mechanism.

- Amazigh girls (economic exploitation, sexual exploitation, early marriages...)

- disabled Amazigh children (adapted measures).

Right to self-determination of the Amazighs

 

Main themes (but not limited to) :

 

- Amazigh legal orders, traditions and protocols in self-government functions

 

- Amazigh history, autonomous modes of governance, institutions, language, ceremonies and spirituality as forms of self-determination

 

- Examples of the current exercise of jurisdiction by the Amazighs, including de jure and de facto self-determination and decisions regarding lands, territories and resources, economic, social and cultural rights, and civil and political rights

 

- Good practices of self-determination (such as Agreements and Treaties between Amazigh peoples and States), support for self-determination (such as constitutional recognition) and challenges to achieving self-determination.

 

- The determination of Amazigh citizenship, and the rights and responsibilities of Amazigh citizenship

 

- The reconstitution of Amazigh peoples and nations divided by State-imposed policies or borders and how self-determination can be managed or impeded

 

- Recognition and cooperation with Amazigh self-determination on the part of nation states, including legislative and constitutional recognition

 

- The exercise of self-determination of the Amazighs in an international context through participation in international forums and the development of links with other peoples and nations of the world.
